chk..chk...chk...

yup, that's what our home laptop sounds like now. last night sarah was surfing the net when the infamous noise emerged. yeah, our hard drive crashed. last backup - july 2007. i know, i know, but we started working on the house after the vacation, the holidays hit and here we are. i don't know if i'll be able to salvage any data from it but we're hoping that i'll be able to get the music off my ipod efficiently and that the photos will be ok too.

a life dependent on technology surely has its ups and downs. basically, i'm telling you to go back up your computers and data. i mean it. do it. NOW!

although it came to a frustrating (crashing?) end, the weekend was otherwise fub and productive. we managed to clean up the house, get winnie to training, get the car emission tested, bid adieu to val who's going to thailand indefinitely, chill with frank and leejean (bravo for making the long haul), have brian, billy and cullan over for breakfast, then we went to the field museum (free all month!) and had dinner at the weber grill.

ok, now for a nice relaxing week of...work?
