mindless meandering
yeah, i know i've been absent from the blogger scene lately, so i'm gonna ease back into it with a simple random thoughts post. actually, i'm going to turn it into a stream of consciousness post.
-i've never worked 29 out of a 34 hour period before. i don't know how jack bauer can do it year after year. and i don't recommend it as life fades away and you don't have time to eat let alone watch tv.
-ah tv, like everybody loves raymond. he talks funny. in fact, i can't stop seeing the name "sint maartens" and hearing it pronounced all drawn out like ray would.
-it's too bad you can't turn off your hearing. you can choose to not eat/taste, feel and see something and you can at least breathe through your mouth if you don't want to smell something. but hearing, there's not a lot you can do on your own about annoying buzzing at night, people chatting in the mornings on the train and plane noise. so on that note i bought a pair of shure earbuds and they're simply amazing. i can't wait to see how well they work on the plane.
-speaking of our upcoming flight, it runs about 6 hours long and i'm worried my knees will get claustrophobic. you heard me right - just knowing that i won't be able to stretch them for long periods at a time makes them hurt.
-on the subject of hurting, have i told you how i've never worked 29 out of a 34 hour period before?...
i'm delirious with lack of sleep. where will my mind take me next? i just don't know...

it's called aisle seat and standing up during the flight. got to fight that deep vein thrombosis. i have ADD and can't sit still, but i definitely stood and read for 10 mins on the flight back from California over the summer.

Those 34-hour periods are rough.
