spending money like...like a chick...
just a few weeks ago, sarah and i were discussing our budget (prompted by filing taxes i believe) and we had this master plan all laid out. only one problem. we can't stop spending the loot. yes, we bring home the bacon AND we eat it too. seriously, how can you not eat bacon if it's just laying around? if you're a vegetarian or vegan and reading this - before you say anything, let me respond - f$#@ off.
anyway, our recent large purchases have included...a vacation at disney world, a new super light laptop, a slew of accessories for the laptop including a very 'metro' bag, new contacts, glasses and sunglasses for the both of us.
all in all i'm happy we've been so fortunate lately, but i'm disappointed in not being able to restrain myself. b-school is on the horizon and it seems silly not to prepare in advance.
i guess in retrospect the spending wasn't that gratuitous. i do like to blog embellish i suppose. but the computer was to help me work on the train and from home a bit. and the contacts and glasses were needed - i mean i am almost blind after all! sarah is just wanna-be-blind, but it's enough that glasses make a difference. perhaps next on the list i'll spend a couple thousand dollars on some light. a laser in particular, for lasik surgery. the thought of it makes me shudder though *shudder*
and by the way, work's been kickin' my ass lately, so if you feel hurt that i haven't called or seen you in a while, tough.

at least you still have a steady income stream for your lavish expenditures...
try living on a student budget and splurging. :P

i want lasik too.
i also wanted to invest in ILSE. maybe i should do that and see if it pays for the lasik. with my amount of free money, i only need it to quintaple in one year to do it.
