well, the unthinkable happened tonight...we ran out of gas...
i had gotten out of work somewhat late tonight, so we were already behind schedule. the wife and i had already hashed out some some plans for dinner, so there was little to think about, just action to take. after a short break at home, we were on our way to eating some tasty steak. things were in motion and i'd say we were about a third of the way there. when it happened. everything just went silent, dead. i tried the ignition several times and even checked some cables behind the grill. then it dawned on me, or rather it came over me, a sense that all was lost and we were out of gas. the thin strands of sunset were almost gone...what were we to do?!
lucky for us we still had a broiler in the kitchen.
so we took the kabobs off the grill and fired up the oven. we were eating dinner no longer than 20 minutes after that. the night was saved. i suppose the only problem now is that i need to refill the tank this weekend. joy. i just wished they had some kinda fuel level to let me know when it was getting low. i wonder how many burgers per gallon our grill gets...
