Speaking of Bill...

Yes, speaking of me, a wonderful idea. Be warned though that this is not for the faint of heart. I will be bitching about my daily struggles with no talent ass clowns, the insufficient number of hours in a day and my neverending search for good food. Still here? Excellent. Read on and join in.

To Whom It May Concern: Thanks!

so yesterday, S came home to find a large package sitting on our stoop. it contained a very nice looking bird feeder with stain glass and a hummingbird design on it. there wasn't any card though and no message on the invoice. our first guess were sarah's parents. my family gives cash in lieu of gifts, S's mom likes stain glass and hummingbirds, and sarah's dad likes bird feeders. it seemed reasonable, but no dice. neither of them sent it and so now we're at a loss.

if you sent us the feeder, lemme know.

and on another home note, last night we finally installed the engraved door knocker that mary gave us for the wedding. home at last...

Groovy

so the mrs. and i are finally moved into our new place. the move was a little rough, and 90% of our stuff is still in boxes, but overall the outlook looks good. the only thing is that we have to reinvent our everyday routines. things you normally don't think about - like changing and getting ready in the mornings - become insane treasure hunts. when you're trying to catch a train, every second counts. why did we pack some left socks apart from their counterparts? i haven't a clue.

this weekend faisal is in town and we'll head back to our "old 'hood" some food and drinks. if you're in the DG area on saturday night, give me a buzz.

and lastly, a birthday shoutout to S's aunt Maura.

Equity

we survived it. after three hours of dishing out my john hancock, papers were signed and we got keys to the home. also, the entire closing process was almost 4 grand under the quote. not too shabby. we're still poor now and there's still lots of cleaning and fixing up to do, but it's ours.

next chance i get, i'll install the engraved door knocker mary bought for us years ago and everything will be official.

once we get things under some kind of order, we'll throw a house warming party of sorts. and since we don't have any furniture or a couch, we can all sit on the floor indian style. i bet you guys can't wait...
