Speaking of Bill...

Yes, speaking of me, a wonderful idea. Be warned though that this is not for the faint of heart. I will be bitching about my daily struggles with no talent ass clowns, the insufficient number of hours in a day and my neverending search for good food. Still here? Excellent. Read on and join in.

fireworks

well, it's that time of year again...time for barbeques and fireworks. somehow, i'll be missing both this year. sarah, lily and i are heading off for cleveland again. there's a wedding shower and i'm going on a one-day trip to niagara for some gambling. i know. after vegas, i must be addicted. but i haven't seen the falls yet. so i plan on sticking my head out of the car at some point to snap a few shots of the falls on the way to the casino. i just hope there aren't too many bugs outside. that could prove messy. i read up some rules on playing craps and will try my luck with a few good rolls. i'll let you know how things go. also, rj, if you have a number that's feeling good for roulette, post it in the comments or give me a call.

meatsweats watch...as opposed to a warning...

it's 95 degrees out and i'm planning on a barbeque tonight. pasha should be coming into town and this is faisal's last weekend in chicago for a while, so it's reason to celebrate. the burgers are ready and a meatsweats alert has been issued. if you don't know what meatsweats are, check out jed's blog under my "people" links. more later...

random factoid of the day

while i'm not particularly interested in the new charlie and the chocolate factory with johnnie depp, i did learn a fun factoid.

FACT: lots of candy comes with nuts. and in the movie willy wonka employs a room of squirrels that sit on stools, filtering out "bad nuts," deshelling the good ones, and dropping them on a conveyer belt.

FACToid: the squirrels are REAL! apparently some extremely patient freak-of-nature took a year and a half training real squirrels to do the trick. i might have to see this.

how contagious is this stuff?

So it's spreading. Check out comedian Dane Cook profess his love for Katie Holmes. Life Without Katie Is Just Not Worth Living. If it infects me, I figure I only have 3 choices: 1. I can go find Morgan Freeman and get him to make me an antidote, or 2. I can watch her other movies and pretty I'm sure that would end things, or 3. I can walk into highway traffic. Number 3 is looking mighty fine right now...

This hilarious clip is complements of Sarah.

go ahead, ask me again and see what happens...

so we survived. we're still exhausted, but hey, it's over...for the next two weeks at least.

the chicago skyway sux. it's too expensive and when it takes you an hour to go less than 10 miles, that's just the worse. gggrrrr.

the wedding was aiight. however, some people didn't even say "hi" to us. they simply walked up to us and asked one of several questions/comments:

1. So it's your turn next right?
2. Are you nervous yet?
3. Are you scared yet?
4. It's gonna be here before you know it
5. Are you ready yet?

It's a good thing we left early to go see Batman Begins, or else I would have hurt somebody.

As for the movie. I thought that was some premium batman. the whole training thing kinda reminded me of last samurai though.

oh no...please...not again...

yeah, it's that time again. exactly 2 weeks since the last time and 2 weeks before the next time. it's cleveland time. we'll leave after work tomorrow and get in sometime in the wee hours of the night. sarah's cousin laura is getting hitched and we're going to there to critique and judge. my bad. i mean we're going there to support and rejoice with her. so wish me luck and let's hope i don't pull an "rj" on the indiana toll roads.

and one other thing. if you see batman begins, lemme know how you liked it. i plan to go sometime soon. no spoilers though.

nag nag nag

Sarah and I found out that there's another wedding and some kinda convention happening at the hotel on the same weekend as our wedding. So if you're coming, I suggest calling and booking a room sooner rather than later. And I know things overall aren't cheap, so try splitting a room if possible...a single vs. a double costs the same. Call me with questions.

got some eats?

yeah, it's 430 and it's been a really long day. no particular reason why either. anyway, it, just hit me about 2 minutes ago. hunger. i had lunch and then an apple about 2 hours ago. so while i'm trying to wrap up things for the day, all i can think about is "ROAST BEEF!" and "CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE!"

am i the only one who gets cravings while at work? feel free to chime in.

mr. and mrs. big lips

so I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith tonight. i had my doubts going into it, but it was damn hilarious and entertaining. got my money's worth. angelina's lips weren't too obnoxious and brad fits any role well where has an excuse to drink in every single scene.

next up on the movie list, batman begins...

mr. bill...can't breathe...oh no...

i'm going to complain about the weather now. it's been in the 90s in the day and 70s at night. what's to complain about then? the damn humidity. i can't take it. it's stifling and nasty and storms refuse to stay here - they go over to Indiana - see my last post.

it's friday finally. i think Faisal wants to go to the brazilian all-you-can-eat-meat-buffet place this weekend. i suppose i should stop eating now.

and i'm thinking about seeing mr. and mrs. smith. it looks like stupid fun and brad pitt is usually amusing. angelina's lips seem smaller too, so hopefully i won't get distracted by them.

question of the day: why is the person talking loudly on the phone in the train at 8am always the one who has absolutely nothing worth saying?

f@#$ me!

so i still haven't fully caught up on my sleep since vegas. ugh. it's beginning to wear on me and it's also why i haven't posted in a while. anyway, here are the latest events that have caused me to say "f%#$ me!"

- Sarah and i are driving home from Cleveland yesterday. it's 4pm, too hot, too humid and too sunny near South Bend, Indiana. Did i also mention too boring? well, we notice that the road ahead of us seems to be lacking sunlight. i know there's a 1 hour time difference, but the storm clouds ahead made it feel like we were driving into midnight. my right hand was twitchy and tested out the windshield wipers just in case. slowly but surely the sun went away and 2 drops into it, the skies opened up. i haven't been in a storm that violent in long long time. the wipers on fast could barely keep up with the water coming down. it was white out conditions and i couldn't see 5 feet ahead of the car. we plugged along for 5-10 minutes with no reprieve. in your opinion, is it better to pull off on the side of the road or keep moving at a slow pace? on a happier note, the rain cleaned all of the bugs off the car. on a sadder note, the rain took a layer of paint and metal with it too.

-got up 10 minutes late this morning.

-checked my bank account statement.
-saw the time (2:34pm) and realized how much of the work day is left.
-saw today's date and noticed the wedding is 2 months from today.
Oh yeah, and send in your wedding responses if you haven't already! Slackers.
